About Us
We're a small farmstead located in the vibrant North Fork Valley of Colorado. Our goal is to live humbly, sustainably, and in deep relationship with the land and with our community.
Our mission is to live in tune with the world around us, within the cycles of days and seasons. We want to build our life with what we have: Earth, water, repurposed and salvaged materials, saved seeds, and a good amount of grit.
Our challenge to ourselves is to grow here slowly without exceeding our means or incurring debt. We want to do all the work with our own hands. We don’t want to waste anything. We want to be thoughtful before we take any action. We’d hope to make our grandparents proud.
We’ve never had dreams of making a giant profit, but rather of making a purposeful and honest-feeling living.
Our Mission
Our love has grown up from the soil, between matched footsteps. It has commonly come to rest inside of a tent—and later, a rustic mountaintop cabin. It is now firmly rooted in the beautiful North Fork Valley, where we have been learning and growing since early 2020.
Over the years, we have planted a diversity of food crops, flowers, trees, and natives. We’ve started an orchard, raised chickens, and constructed an earthen home. We are now able to grow most of what we eat, and our tiny home gives us a sense of comfort and stability.
It’s time to start sharing. As we enter this phase of our farmstead, we’ll be looking for new ways to connect and new opportunities to contribute to our community.
Our Story
We value this land as an ancestral place of the Ute people and the current habitat of many wild beings. We are temporary stewards. We hope to minimize our negative impact here by building soil and protecting environments for all types of life.
We avoid tillage whenever possible, and we do not use herbicides, pesticides, or chemical inputs. We are committed to creative collaboration around the major issues of climate change and food security.
We want our farm to be a place of education, inspiration, and community-building around the shared values of respect for nature and healthy, balanced living.
